Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Blood Bowl Spike ! Journal Issue 17 9781837790241 Deep in the dank heart of the old forests, mischievous woodland creatures frolic, prance, and beat each other to a pulp playing the age-old game of Blood Bowl. This issue's guest editor, Davide Mirrorfoot, reveals just a few of the secrets of Gnome teams. While the average Blood Bowl fan isn't even aware of their existence, Gnomes have been playing the beautiful game as long as anyone can remember. Rarely venturing outside of their hidden forest lairs, they can be coaxed to play ball with the big folks – though they prefer to play against Halflings, their greatest (well, smallest) rivals. This issue of Spike! Journal braves the stupefying mists to reveal a strange world of magical gridiron action. If you feel compelled to learn more, it's surely no accident. This issue includes: Trifling Tricksters Vital background knowledge of Gnome teams in Blood Bowl, including a breakdown of the positions they play – Linemen, Beastmasters, and Illusionists, and the forest friends they bring to the pitch, including Woodland Foxes and Altern Forest Treemen. Famous Gnome Teams Thrilling tales of the Glimdwallow Geezers (not to be confused with the Glimdwarrow Groundhogs), Anti-Moot Meddlers, and more improbably-named teams. Team Spotlight: Glimdwarrow Groundhogs Hailing from one of the largest known settlements of Gnomes, this team has broken out of the bogs to play actual games across the Old World, becoming a firm fan favourite for their antics and plucky spirit. While highlights might be a stretch, you'll learn all about their history, team rating, and 2501-2502 lineup. Star Player Spotlight – Rowena Forestfoot Known as the Guardian of the Forest, this unlikely champion rides on the back of a stag. More focused and level-headed than many of her team-mates, she’s a dependable and agile asset to the Gnomes. Dirt from the Dugout Mindy Piewhistle exposes a scandal involving a Gnome team’s memorabilia, which may be too good to be true. Star Player Spotlight – Rodney Roachbait This Gnome is always angling for his next big catch. His mastery of the fishing rod proves quite handy, even if the balls end up punctured from time to time. Gnome Garden Leagues Fancy a casual game that’s big on magical hijinks, if not stunning feats of athleticism? Try your hand at using this set of rules for playing in the Gnome Garden Leagues. Mystical Forest Blood Bowl Pitch Includes rules for using the Mystical Forest Blood Bowl Pitch in your games, including special rules for a Forest Floor crawling with critters, a mystical Healing Glow, and Gnomish Portals. These rules are also included with the GnomeTeam - Double-sided Pitch and Dugouts Set. Gnome Balls Includes background and rules for 2 unique balls – the Oversized Acorn and the Gnomish Idol ball. Coffin Corner Spike! Journal's obituaries column commemorating those players who are no longer with us, whether trampled on the pitch, torn apart, or possibly eaten. Chat with the Rat Ace Skaven reporter Hackspit ‘the Scribbler’ Quillchewer tries to get to the bottom of an important question – what’s the difference between Gnomes and Halflings. Pro Playbook: A League of Their Gnome A thorough breakdown of what it takes to coach the Gnomes to an unlikely victory, including how to hire a team and develop them over time. Star Player Spotlight – Akhorne the Squirrel Don't make the mistake of underestimating this bite-sized bruiser. While the Gnomes are well-gnome for bringing their woodland pals to the pitch, this particular player puts the crit back in critter, racking up an impressive tally of casualties. Dungeon Bowl Update: Gnome Teams Provides a narrative and rules update for players to use your Gnome team miniatures in games of Dungeon Bowl. Mighty Blow! – Oh Gnome You Didn't! In this comic strip, Bob plumbs the confused shreds of his addled memory to piece together what little he knows about playing against a team of forest-dwelling Halflings. Releases April 20, 2024

Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Blood Bowl Gnome Team 5011921203987 Gnomes are something of an enigma in the world of Blood Bowl, with many fans having dismissed their existence almost entirely. While their tactics, and woodland creatures, are somewhat unorthodox, Gnomes are quite fond of the game. While individual players are hardly paragons of athleticism, their mastery of magical illusions and the befriending of forest beasts gives them certain advantages not enjoyed by less gloriously bearded teams. This multipart plastic kit builds the Glimdwarrow Groundhogs, a Gnome team for use in games of Blood Bowl. The team comprises eight Gnome Linemen, two Woodland Foxes, two Gnome Illusionists, and two Gnome Beastmasters. You'll find four head options that can be used with any of the four different Lineman bodies, as well as two alternative heads for each of the other positions. The Beastmasters have a choice of staff toppers, as well as either goose or badger friends. In addition, there are two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, two turn and re-roll markers, four balls, and a transfer sheet. Rules for using Gnome teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Spike! Journal: Issue 17 , which is sold separately. This kit comprises 102 plastic components, and is supplied with 14x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Gnome Team Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. Releases April 20 2024

Games Table Top Games Games Workshop Necromantic Horror Blood Bowl Team : The Wolfenburg Crypt-Styealers SN: None Blood Bowl is a gloriously violent game, but the best players don't let anything as pedestrian as death keep them down. The Necromancers of Sylvania discovered some time ago that their magical talents made for a viable career as a coach. They soon began making dark pacts with Ghouls, Wraiths, and even Werewolves – or simply stitching together Flesh Golems from the beefiest body parts they could scare up. Slow but durable Zombies flesh out your lineup. Combined with a variety of specialised players to choose from, a savvy Necromancer can tailor the team to a variety of play styles. Ghouls and Werewolves bring speed, Wraiths are slippery, and Flesh Golems are strong and tough. And as the dead don't rest easy, they'll always be up for more, win or lose. This multipart plastic kit contains all the components you'll need to build the Wolfenburg Crypt-Stealers, a Necromantic Horror team for use in games of Blood Bowl. It contains 14 players: – 6 Zombie Linemen – 2 Ghoul Runners – 2 Wraiths – 2 Werewolves – 2 Flesh Golems You'll also find 2 turn counters, 2 coins, 4 spooky balls, 14 32mm Citadel Round Blood Bowl bases, and a transfer sheet. Rules for using Necromantic Horror teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Blood Bowl – The Official Rules. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.
Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Games Workshop Old World Alliance Team 5011921205554 Mixed teams are found throughout the Blood Bowl leagues, uniting players from a variety of races and cultures on the pitch. Old World Alliance teams like the Middenheim Maulers are drawn from great cities across the Empire, Estalia, Kislev, and beyond. These bustling streets are packed with cosmopolitan Humans, Dwarfs, and Halflings, ready to be forged into winning teams that are greater than the sum of their parts. Old World Alliance teams boast a flexible roster of Humans, Dwarfs, and Halflings. Each of these groups brings their own innate talents to the pitch – Human flexibility, Dwarfen toughness, and Halfling, er… greasy slipperiness? Cooking skills? If you're looking to cover classic weaknesses, discover new tactical opportunities, and face fresh challenges of co-operation, look no further than the Old World Alliance. This multipart plastic kit builds an Old World Alliance team of 15 players for games of Blood Bowl. Using components from the existing Human, Dwarf, and Halfling team sets, you'll be able to build 3 Halfling Hopefuls, 3 Human Linemen, 1 Human Blitzer, 1 Human Thrower, 1 Human Catcher, 3 Dwarf Blockers, 1 Dwarf Runner, 1 Dwarf Blitzer, and 1 Dwarf Troll Slayer. Some of these players include cosmetic options such as different heads to help you customise your own team. The box also includes six balls, two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, and two turn markers – split evenly between Dwarf and Human designs – and a sheet of Old World Alliance transfers with team logos, numbers, and positionals. This kit comprises 73 plastic components, and comes with 15x Citadel 32mm Round Bases as well as an Old World Alliance Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. The rules to use Old World Alliance teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Blood Bowl – The Official Rules .
Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Games Workshop Ogre Team 5011921146253 Ogres are natural Blood Bowl players, with a long tradition of playing for other teams who can afford to feed them (woe betide the coach who fails to account for their appetite). Ogre teams, however, bring a new level of violence to the game, as their rosters feature not just one or two of these massive brutes, but often 4 of them! Of course, they're also accompanied by a veritable swarm of Gnoblars, tiny greenskin runts who have no natural athletic ability, but enough cunning and wit to know they're supposed to grab the ball from time to time whilst the Ogres are busy pummeling their opponents. Once in a while, the Ogres will give the ball-holders a little kick towards the End Zone, thus scoring some points with a bit of luck. If you want to play some smashy Blood Bowl, you can do no better than an Ogre team. They play unlike anything else, excelling at deleting the opposing team, one by one, until they can walk the ball across the pitch unopposed. You’ll focus on hiring a handful of Ogres, and the utterly replaceable gnoblars fill out the rest of your slots. Ogres are a blast to play, and a nightmare to go up against. This multipart plastic kit contains all the components you'll need to build the Fire Mountain Gut Busters, an Ogre team for use in games of Blood Bowl, containing 4 Ogres (1 of which can be built as a Runt Punter), and 12 Gnoblars with interchangeable heads! You'll also find a roster sheet, transfers, 2 turn counters and 2 coins, 4 Ogre-themed balls, and a mix of 14x 25mm Citadel Round bases and 4x 32mm Citadel Round Blood Bowl bases. Rules for using Ogre teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Blood Bowl – The Official Rules. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.
Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Games Workshop Vampire Team : The Drakfang Thirsters 5011921182077 8.0 Noble Vampires often partake in games of Blood Bowl alongside their human Thralls to showcase their immortal superiority and indulge in a little bloodlust. Due to their wealthy status, these Nobles are adorned in the highest quality gear. Meanwhile, their Thralls are dishevelled and diminutive, wearing little more than basic equipment and blouses – and their gaunt and malnourished appearances may or may not have something to do with Thralls becoming a mid-match snack for the Vampires when they get thirsty. Vampires who choose to play Blood Bowl among the underclasses are undeniably powerful, however, their teams can become undone when they occasionally give in to their Bloodlust and feed off their Thralls mid-game! But, if they can keep their hunger in check, their speed and strength make them a match for any other team out on the astrogranite. This multipart kit allows you to assemble The Drakfang Thirsters, a Vampire team for use in games of Blood Bowl. The team comprises eight Thrall Linemen, two Vampire Runners, two Vampire Blitzers, and two Vampire Throwers. You'll find alternate heads for each of your Vampire players, and an alternate arm for your Thrower, to help customise your team. In addition, there are two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, two turn and re-roll markers, four balls, and a transfer sheet. Rules for using Vampire teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Spike! Journal 16, which is sold separately. This kit comprises 96 plastic components, and is supplied with 14x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Vampire Team Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
Games Table Top Games Blood Bowl Games Workshop Dark Elf Team 5011921146222 A new team founded after the collapse of the NAF, many Nightmares players previously played for the disbanded Naggaroth Nightwings who fell into receivership when the head coach took flight with the team treasury. Despite their status as a new team then, they have an influx of incredible talent, and are already proving themselves to be nightmares (do you see?) for their opponents… This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble the Naggaroth Nightmares, a Dark Elf Blood Bowl team. The team consists of 6 Linemen, 2 Blitzers, 2 Runners and 2 Witch Elves – each is clad in some pretty spikesome armour, with the hides of Cold Ones draped over their shoulders. The Witch Elves are ...slightly less armoured, and can be modelled either with hands pointing imperiously toward their opponents – or clutching a still-beating heart. The Linemen have 3 different designs of head. There are a host of extras in the kit – 2 turn markers, 2 double-sided score coins featuring a Dark Elves icon and 4 balls – 2 kraken eggs (with protruding tentacles) and 2 balls made from the hide of a Cold One, lacking pegs. Supplied with 12 32mm Blood Bowl bases, a 1,000,000 GP roster and a Dark Elf transfer sheet.
